Full Developmental Editing:

Fiction: Provides edits and guidance on plot development, identifying plot holes, characterization, identifying clear character goals/character arc, concise narrative voice and style, consistent pacing, marketing, and age/genre appropriateness of the entirety of the manuscript. Non-fiction: Edits focusing on structure, organization, clarity (clear, concise, and engaging), logic, and the effectiveness of the manuscript as a whole.

Cost

Developmental Editing Fiction: $44 per hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Developmental Editing Non-fiction: $48 per hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Developmental Editing Business/Sales: $48 per hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Coaching:

Provide guidance on brainstorming/idea generation, research and outlining. Provide feedback and big-picture critiques on content, structure, and overall effectiveness. Teach how to craft compelling narrative and writing for their specific audience. Provide simple editing and proofreading, checking for small grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. Assist with developing a personal writing plan with goals, strategies, and realistic timelines. Assist with identifying roadblocks and providing support and motivation to overcome them.

Fiction (specifically Romance and speculative fiction) and Non-fiction (specifically workplace communication, technical documents, : $61/hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Ghost Writing:

Writes content and/or assists with content creation for: books (fiction and non-fiction), articles, newsletters, blog posts, speeches, social media posts.

Proof Reading:

Reads manuscript, documents, articles, posts, for grammar, punctuation, spelling, omitted words, repeated words, spacing and format, and typographical errors.

Fiction: $31/hour (11-15 pages/hr)

Non-fiction: $36/hour (7-10 pages/hr)

Business/Sales: $41/hour (7-10 pages/hr)

Medical/STEM: $41/hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Line Editing:

Edits on sentence structure to ensure sharp, clear, and concise language. Evaluates word choice, and how syntax contributes to tone, emotion of writing. Evaluates overall pacing and logical flow of the manuscript.

$46/hour (4-6 pages/hr)

Copy Editing:

Review text to correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ensure content follows styles rules designated by employer/publisher to express tone. Ensures research is appropriate and correct, ensures proper fact checking is completed for the entirety of the manuscript/document.
